In the face of escalating humanitarian emergencies, the Neglected Crises Platform strives to redefine the approach to overlooked emergencies. Beyond the conventional aid approach, we advocate for increased coordination, stronger diplomatic efforts and inclusive strategies involving development, humanitarian and political actors.
Major emergencies dominate the spotlight, overshadowing equally critical situations. Breaking this cycle requires collaborative efforts. Our dedicated platform facilitates a space for delegates from the EU Council’s Working Parties to convene and discuss, trigger awareness and present tangible recommendations to the EU and its Member States. Our ambition is to be a catalyst for effective and sustainable solutions - putting neglected crises back on the agenda.
